Crystal Clear Creators is a not-for-profit arts organisation and company limited by guarantee based partly in the East Midlands. We are dedicated to developing, recording, producing, publishing and promoting new creative writing, particularly for radio. We work with new, up-and-coming and established writers, actors, producers and engineers.

We host live events, run writing courses and dayschools, and provide writing opportunities for our members and the wider community. We record and produce members' work, showcase it on our website, and arrange broadcasts on local, regional, national and commercial radio stations. We also publish members' work through our publishing imprint, Crystal Clear Creators Publishing.

 Reflecting on the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade: Leicestershire Heritage

This project, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, is ongoing. The community members involved are actively researching Leicestershire's involvement in the trade, responding to their research creatively and developing three radio documentaries about their findings, which will include their imaginative work.

'Writing Histories' competition: results

The winners of the 'Writing Histories' competition have now been announced:

Clare Reddaway, 'Highly Satisfactory'

Atar Hadari, 'The Lonesome Death of Janis Joplin'

and Paul Francis, 'No Side But My Own.'

The winners are currently receiving mentoring, following which their work will be recorded and produced by Crystal Clear Creators. See 'Competitions' page for further details.
