What follows is just a summary of some of our achievements and activities since 2003, i.e. when Crystal Clear Creators was first founded.
Crystal Clear Creators is a not-for-profit arts organisation and company limited by guarantee, which is devoted to developing, producing, publishing and promoting new writing. It records, produces and broadcasts spoken-word material; it publishes anthologies and pamphlets of new writing through its imprint, Crystal Clear Creators (CCC) Publishing; it runs dayschools and courses on creative writing, media and heritage; and it hosts live events, including readings. Crystal Clear Creators has over 100 full members, and over 400 Facebook Group members. It works with new, up-and-coming and established writers, actors and producers, as well as other partner organisations.
Radio and recordings
Members’ radio dramas, poetry, stories and prose have been broadcast via our website and on radio stations across the country and beyond, including BBC Leicester, Resonance FM, Carillon Radio, Oneword, Radio Veralun, Radio St. Austell, Virtually American, Takeover Radio, Demon FM, Radio Wildfire, Theatre Network UK, Heat FM. Crystal Clear Creators has run various Restricted Service Licence radio stations, including Festive FM and Heat Rays Radio in Lincolnshire. In 2007, Crystal Clear Creators produced a demo c.d. of a sample of its recorded work.

Along with Nine Arches Press, it runs a regular bi-monthly 'Shindig!' open-mic poetry evening, with guest speakers, at The Western Pub in Leicester.
Crystal Clear Creators has run three writing competitions, one in 2005 called ‘Writing Monologues,’ one in 2007-8 called ‘Writing Histories,’ and one in 2011 called 'Crystal Pamphlets.' These competitions all resulted in recordings, broadcasts and publications.
Crystal Clear Creators (CCC) Publishing has published three anthologies of new writing: Speaking Words: Writing for Reading Aloud, ed. Deborah Tyler-Bennett (2005), In the Beginning, ed. Mystie Hood (2007), and Fizzle & Sizzle: An Anthology of New Poetry and Prose By Young Writers in Leicestershire, ed. Jonathan and Maria Taylor (2008). It is currently running an acclaimed literary magazine, called Hearing Voices (2010-12), the first four issues of which are now available. Its series of 'Crystal Pamphlets,' published March 2012, is a series of six individually-authored pamphlets by up-and-coming writers Andrew "Mulletproof" Graves, Jessica Mayhew, Roy Marshall, Charles Lauder Jr, Hannah Stevens and Aly Stoneman.

Some reviews of our work and publications include:
'Crystal Clear Creators is part of the vibrant poetry scene in Leicester' (Alan Baker, Leafe Press).
‘... the organisation has gone on to build an impressive list of achievements’ (Ambrose Musiyiwa, in Ohmynews International, 2006).
‘Getting published seems a far cry to many with an interest in writing, but with agencies such as this it is much easier for writers to get their name seen and work noticed’ (Victoria Poolman, on BBC Leicester’s website).
'There is work in this anthology which is for reading aloud, but there is also work ... which actually demands to be read aloud’ (Dave Reeves, Raw Edge Magazine, no.23).
'Reading aloud, the aim of the ... anthology, is full of possibilities and potential joys .... Speaking Words has a diversity of approach yet the items share an honest verve that defies anyone to read them in a dull way .... These pieces probably would 'surmount bad reading' but they're good enough to discourage it. If reading is a pleasure, then reading aloud is a pleasure shared’ (Jeremy Jago, Nottinghamshire Book Reviews, no.1).
