Crystal Clear Creators is wholly committed to equal opportunites and will not discriminate on any grounds whatsoever. It is devoted to the promotion and development of the creativity of all its members, regardless of sexual, racial, or any other kind of difference.  Crystal Clear Creators is opposed to all forms of discrimination by or against any of its members. Discrimination can be direct or indirect, covert or overt and may be based on many factors. These include gender, age, sexuality, skin colour, ethnic origin, national origin, physical ability, mental ability, financial status, marital status, language, class, or HIV status. No form of discrimination is acceptable to Crystal Clear Creators. Crystal Clear Creators will challenge all discrimination it comes across. It seeks to establish an environment which promotes diversity and understands difference. It is committed to developing the talent of all sections of the community and encouraging and empowering groups which are otherwise marginalised.   

Implementation 

Crystal Clear Creators encourages all members to consider all aspects of equal opportunities when writing, producing, devising strategies, acting or any other aspect of their work. Crystal Clear Creators actively encourages all citizens to involve themselves in its work regardless of their gender, age, sexuality, skin colour, ethnic origin, national origin, physical ability, mental ability, financial status, marital status, language, class, or HIV status. It is committed to developing the talent of all sections of the community and encouraging and empowering groups which are otherwise marginalised.  Attempts will be made for all literature produced by Crystal Clear Creators to be accessible in as many ways as possible, whether in the form of large print, Braille, translated material, or tapes. Crystal Clear Creators aims that its work be accessible to all.  

Members 

Crystal Clear Creators strives to ensure that all its members are able to carry out their work without fear of discrimination, prejudice, harassment and bullying. Crystal Clear Creators’ equal opportunities policy will be available to all its members via the website www.crystalclearcreators.org. All members will be asked to consult it regularly. Crystal Clear Creators will actively seek members and work from all areas and communities and will strive to ensure that all areas and communities are represented at all levels of the organisation. Crystal Clear Creators aims to ensure that no one is disadvantaged in terms of their personal skills and abilities. Crystal Clear Creators aims to foster a positive environment in which members’ work is enhanced and developed. 

Monitoring and evaluation 

All aspects of the work of Crystal Clear Creators will be subject to regular monitoring and evaluation. This will be used to:

 ·                Identify particular trends or activities within Crystal Clear Creators and make necessary adjustments.

·                Proactively identify areas of concern which need to be addressed.

·                Identify areas where Crystal Clear Creators is doing well so that they can be adapted else where.

·                Provide Crystal Clear Creators with information in order to create or update policies and practices.

·                Identify particular training needs for members.  

Appraisal and evaluation 

This policy is not and should not be considered as exclusive or exhaustive. It is subject to  review and appraisal and will be amended as appropriate. It may also require review following evaluation or comments for those people affected by it.
