Beginnings
Crystal Clear Creators began life on a train journey between Loughborough and Coventry in November 2001, when a lecturer from Loughborough University met a Drama undergraduate and the then Assistant Station Manager of Loughborough Campus Radio.
They got chatting about the lecturer's radio play and the undergraduate agreed to produce the 45 minute epic. Dr Jonathan Taylor and Robin Webber-Jones, 6 months later, came out with a near finalised version of The Music Master.
At the same time Robin was developing a show with Tim Cope (with whom he was to develop 'live-performances') and Joe Hill (a production director for the play). Tim, Robin and Jon formed CCC. The following year, Robin produced his own Radio Play, while specialising in light and sound design at university.
In 2003, the groups were looking for their next project, and it seemed a natural extension to develop CCC with a view to getting plays into the public arena.
