Rupert Stutchbury
Rupert Stutchbury lives in West Cork Ireland and attends Kinsale Further Education College as a very mature student in a full time two year Drama and Theatre Performance course under the inspirational tutelage of Belinda Wild (Google her - she is very well known out here and is a hugely successful director at Cork Opera House, the Gaiety and many other professional venues in the Republic of Ireland). Rupert decided to do this despite most of his fellow students being in their early twenties while he is in his late fifties, because he has recently taken up writing, has completed two full length plays and become quite ambitious, in his own little way, to succeed as a playwright. He thought that if he knew more about the craft of acting and saw a professional director at work close hand over two years, he was more likely to write a really good play next time, instead of continuing to write not bad but not brilliant ones!
