Annual Report
May 2006
Annual Report
May 2005 May 2006
1. Aims and objectives
Crystal Clear Creators is a not-for-profit arts organisation which develops, records, showcases and promotes new and established talent, particularly for radio, including writers, voice-overs and producers.
Long term aims include:
Gaining a position on the commissioned list of independent producers for the BBC (particularly Radio 4)
Obtaining an R.S.L. (Restricted Service Licence) for broadcasting
Developing our community, commercial, regional and national portfolio of contracts with radio stations
2. Description of this report
This annual report covers the period May 2005 to May 2006, and describes major developments in the organisation, Crystal Clear Creators, during that time.
3. Board
Our constitution can be found on our website HYPERLINK http://www.crystalclearcreators.org www.crystalclearcreators.org. Over the last year, members of the management committee include or have included:
Robin Webber-Jones, chair, director
Jonathan Taylor, secretary, director
Kate Sharp (started June 2005, finished October 2005)
Maria Taylor, co-director (started September 2005)
4. Note from the chair
This last year has been a period of exponential growth on the part of the organisation. Importantly, we have managed to secure long-term stability for the organisation through expansion and financial health. This will be consolidated in the next few months, as we move towards not-for-profit company status. We have gained a number of grants for varying projects; we have developed a publishing imprint; we have promoted our members work onto various local and regional radio stations; and we have run various events and courses. All of the details follow. We have also gained a large number of members. As a members-led organisation, this is very important, and we hope members will continue both to support the organisation and also guide it. If there is anything you would like the organisation to do that it isnt already, do let us know, and hopefully the next twelve months will be as successful as the last. We will, of course, continue to keep members up to date with our regular newsletters, so please get involved as much as you can.
